14 Years, Countless Stories, One Hair Loss Journey Together

August has always been a meaningful month for us. It’s Hair Loss Awareness Month, a time to talk more openly about hair loss, the emotions that come with it, and the many different ways women choose to navigate their own journeys. This August was even more special as we celebrated UniWigs 14th anniversary. Now, as our anniversary celebration comes to an end, we simply want to say thank you—to everyone who has been with us for years and to every new friend who discovered UniWigs along the way. Your support means more to us than we can put into words.

For the past 14 years, we’ve had the privilege of being part of so many women’s hair journeys. Hair loss doesn’t look the same for everyone, and neither does the way we choose to deal with it. Some women may be looking for a little extra coverage or volume, while others may need more complete coverage. That’s why we’ve continued to offer both hair toppers and human hair wigs, creating different options for women at different stages of hair loss. But beyond the hair itself, what matters most to us is helping women feel comfortable, confident, and like themselves again.

This August, we wanted to celebrate those real experiences. We collected 14 hair loss stories and genuine UGC reviews from women in our community. Every story was different—different reasons, different experiences, and different relationships with hair loss. But together, they reminded us why we started and why we continue to do what we do. Seeing women share their experiences, style their hairpieces in their own way, and talk honestly about how they feel wearing them is something we never take for granted.

My favorite UniWigs moment? Realizing that my daughter’s wedding photo was so special it became part of the campaign! Now every time I see it, I smile. Great memories... and great hair!

This summer I spent a week on electric cello at a rock orchestra camp. My hair was definitely rock star quality. In spite of all the movement during the week, I always felt secure that my hair was going to stay in place between clips and halo wire. I had Airy Elegance as my daily wear for this picture and my concerts, Upgrade Courtney. I even had a little fun with my bio hair in lilac peeking out from under the toppers.

Fourteen years is a milestone, but it doesn’t feel like the end of anything. If anything, it feels like another beginning.
