Should You Cut Bangs On Your Topper Or Wig?
When people receive their new hair topper or wig, they're probably thinking: Will the topper or wig look better with bangs?
What if you keep it as-is (no bangs)?
Why might you want to leave it alone?
- Zero risk. You can't mess it up if you don't cut it.
- More styling options. You can pull hair back, do a middle part, a side part, or a ponytail.
- Great if you already like your forehead. Some people just look better without bangs.
Why might no bangs not work for you?
- It doesn't hide the front hairline. If the hair topper or wig doesn't blend perfectly with your real hair, people can tell.
- Your forehead might bother you. Too high, too low, acne, wrinkles, bangs cover all of that.
- Can make your face look rounder or longer, depending on your shape.
- Your eyebrows need to be on point. Without bangs, eyebrows are fully visible. If you don't wear makeup, it's harder to pull off.

What about cutting bangs?
Why might you want to take scissors to it?
- Hides the wig hairline completely. This is the biggest reason. Bangs cover where the hair topper or wig starts, so nobody ever sees the edge.
- Changes your whole face shape. High forehead? Wide forehead? Thinning at the temples? Bangs fix it.
- Makes you look younger. Soft, face-framing bangs tend to take years off.
- Less makeup in the morning. Bangs cover your forehead and brows. You can skip eyebrow makeup and even go bare-faced more easily.
Why might cutting your own bangs backfire?
- You might ruin it. One bad cut: too short, too blunt, too thin, and the whole hair topper or wig is unwearable.
- You can't undo it. Once it's cut, it's cut. They will be unforgiving.
- Wind becomes your enemy. Anyone with bangs knows this. A breezy day and your hair is a mess.
